Founder
Frederick Clarke, the son of an Englishman who came to Jamaica at the age of 18 in 1846, grew up in Westmorland. Frederick earned a reputation as a rigorous improving manager at several sugar plantations before he purchased his own estate, Worthy Park for 44,000 British Pounds in 1918. He built the business until 1932 when he passed away.
