Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve

An authentic and traditional Jamaican rum and our first release under our Worthy Park range of bottling’s. A blend of our 100% copper pot-still rums that have been aging between 6-10 years; this blend has been created to showcase the unique complexity and distinctive taste that Worthy Park has to offer. 100% single estate product; batch distilled, aged, blended and bottled on site.

Tasting Notes: A natural, light amber color; the nose is punchy with upfront aromas of light tobacco and toasted oak with spicy fruit – raisins and plums. With time light notes of vanilla become evident. On the mouth luscious and tropical fruits with a soft, buttery and almost creamy texture. Dry a slightly bitter, soft tannins are rounded out by toasted oak and nutmeg. A hint of black pepper finished off with a touch of ginger as it lingers with it’s soft, dry finish.

Tasting Notes: a sweet and fragrant un-aged rum, the nose is full of tropical, fruity flavours dominated by banana with hints of citrus and vanilla. On the palate it’s rich and fruity with buttery, banana notes and strong, lingering finishing.

Tasting Notes: A classic rich Jamaican rum which can be enjoyed mixed or neat. Ideally, rested before sipping as once the alcohol dissipates the sweetness of banana and stewed apples prevails on the nose. The fruit dominate the palate whilst the four aged years enables this rum to benefit from oak interaction, also giving a vanilla and treacle like sweetness. A long mellow finish bursting with flavors.

The rich creamy base is balanced by the opulent flavours of the Rum-Bar Rum giving you a smooth and pleasurable taste whether drinking chilled or on the rocks. It even tastes great in your morning coffee!

Tasting Notes: A traditional pure pot still overproof rum and is presented at 63% ABV. On the nose the banana notes dominate with a beautiful balance of other exotic fruit continuing through to the pallet supported with that classic grassy vegetal Jamaican funk.

With the popularity of vodka growing on the island it was a natural progression for Worthy Park to release a Vodka under it’s Rum-Bar brand name. This crisp, clean and neutral spirit is made from wheat grain giving it a soft spirit with a nice wide-mouth feel. The wheat grain is fermented and distilled in huge column stills and mixed with spirit that has been re-distilled in small coal fired traditional copper stills. The liquid is quadruple distilled before being bottled.

The nose on Rum-Bar Vodka is crisp and clean, and slightly sweet with a hint of lemon. The entry is smooth, soft and sweet with light citrus and black pepper notes. The finish is long and crisp with the lemon and pepper notes adding structure to a slightly dry exit.

Palate: the initial astringent and peppery bite gives way to a growing sweetness. Overripe banana, apricots, blackberries and red currant jelly. Heat in the mid-palate as the astringent oak makes a re-appearance. A medium length finish leaves you with a warm, tannic and peppery oak that drifts into berries and a hint of red licorice.
